Currently, I work in the capacity of Technology Analyst for building the foundation of desired Commercial MI environment in a major European Credit Insurer. This involves developing complex mappings using Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) methodology. This program requires one to have exceptionally good analytical skills and equanimity. Being a developer in the project, my job description includes developing new mappings/modifying existing mappings in Informatica (ETL tool) and Oracle SQL, testing the code in Development (DEV) environment and also supporting the promotion of code in Production.The main job of the system is to receive data from various upstreams, perform various calculations as required by business and load the data in the data-warehouse in Fact and Dimension tables. Oracle SQL developer is then used to query these tables and retrieve information in the form of reports which are then shared with the stakeholders. It comes along with crunched timelines and zero tolerance for errors. Having worked on this technology for around three years now, I have become well-versed and proficient with ETL tools, and Oracle.
