Sidhanta Mehra is the Executive Director for the U.S. Chamber's U.S.-Bangladesh Business Council and also the Senior Director for Energy, Environment and Infrastructure the U.S.-India Business Council. He is leading U.S. Chamber's efforts to add more transparency and depth to U.S. business engagement with South Asia. His research has focused on Indian domestic policy, particularly the role played by India's states in setting policy and driving development. He previously worked at the Wadhwani Chair in U.S.-India Policy Studies at the Washington,D.C.-based think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies. At CSIS, Sidhanta was responsible for the administration of the U.S.-India State and Urban Initiative, the chair's first-of-its-kind effort to build subnational partnerships to drive energy development in India and the United States.
