I have taught art as a resident artist ( living in a community for 2 weeks to 2 months) teaching art to students of all ages. Working for VSA, I teach students with disabilities, chemical dependencies, or in correctional facilities. Residencies with the Nevada Arts Council have generally been within the school system of whatever site requested me, but also included hospital settings and senior centers. I have also put on student shows and done much public speaking for both organizations.

I make art, primarily using soft pastels on a vibrant textured underpainting. I am known as a plein aire landscape artist but also make studio figural pieces and works that are emotionally evocative. I show frequently in galleries and museums, teach art to all levels and ages, and give workshops in pastel painting and watercolor. I am active with the Wild Women arts group. I own and show in my own studio in rural northeastern Nevada.

Worked in Wildland Fire as Ramp Manager for the Bureau of Land Management. Ground support for wildland fire. Glorified ground control, I oversaw ramp activity with the aircraft, managing movement on the ground of all vehicles (aircraft, fueling, reatardant loading). Also worked for Alaska Fire Service as a parking tender, another ground control position. Ensured the safety of passengers embarking/debarking aircraft.
