My practice is based on two simple questions appropriate to finding actionable options for treatment of chronic illness:1. Is there something for which you may have a special unmet need, which, if met, would hasten Nature's buoyant impulse toward healing?2. Is there something for which you may have an unmet special need to avoid or be rid of, which, if met, would favor healing?

Medigenesis is the emobodimnent of a project begun under the mentorship of Shannon Brunges who headed the Division of Medical Computer Sciences where I held a position as Asst. Professor, 1969-1971 with appointments in Pediatrics and Ob-Gyn. After leaving to do family practice and work on medical records at a prepaid health plan in New Haven in 1971 I continued to work with the division until Shannon left Yale. Subsequently during my tenure as Director of the Gesell Institute of Human Development in New Haven 1978-1985, and research Director there 1985-1087 I worked on the architecture and lexicon of MCares. It was a system for encoding the granular details of medical narrative and became the basis for what became Medigenesis when the focus for implementation shifted to from capturing data from practitioners to providing an interface for capturing it directly from its source, the patient.
