When an opportunity arose to work in Nashville, TN as a nocturnist I enthusiastically took it. I have throughly enjoyed the opportunity to practice medicine and live in the greater Nashville area. My job includes admitting patients from the ER, covering a large number of patients on the medical floor, and accepting transfers from all over middle Tennessee..
I worked solely in the hospital as a hospitalist. I earned very valuable skills treating people in the Upper Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee. I coordinated care for my patients between all the specialties. I began to work nights and eventually transitioned to a full time nocturnist. My job entailed working in the ER admitting patients, accepting transfers.
I began my career as a primary care physician in rural Southwest Virginia. As an internist I worked in both my office and the local hospitals (Lee Regional Medical Center and Lonesome Pine Hospital). I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to deliver excellent care to my patients and live close to family. Unfortunately the main hospital I worked out of.
