Sid Jacobson is a pioneer in the field of graphic novels. His background includes being a successful pop song writer with more than ten hit songs. He spent 25 years with Harvey Comics where he was creative director/editor on their key characters including Casper, Richie Rich, Dot, Baby Huey and more. After Harvey, he spent many years at Marvel leading the creative/editorial for their children's lines including characters like Alf, Heathcliff, and The Muppets, which became the company's only successful children's line. In the 90's he went back to the reconstituted Harvey in LA to rekindle their characters and help adapt them to films. He worked closely with the producers on the Casper and Richie Rich movies. From Harvey he ventured out on his own to create groundbreaking graphic novels and became passionate about how they could improve understanding and access to challenging content. He led the development of many highly acclaimed graphic novels, including the graphic rendition of The 9/11 Commission Report, the Anne Frank House sanctioned The Biography of Anne Frank, and the soon to be released Three-Fifths of a Man.
