I currently serve as the Program Coordinator at Vanderbilt’s Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center. A native of Manchester, Jamaica, I moved to the United States to take up a track and field scholarship at Clemson University in 2016. While at Clemson, I was a member of many student-athlete-centered organizations that focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging – I was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee; I served as the representative for all International student-athletes; I was a Clemson Community Outreach Ambassador and most notably, I was a member of the cohort of female track and field student-athletes who successfully petitioned against my university for discontinuing the men’s track and field program which housed 3% of the Black male population on campus, at the time.Following this experience, I enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2021 and graduated with my master's degree in public policy and administration in May 2023. I am deeply passionate about supporting and advocating for minoritized University students to reach their fullest potential from both policy and interpersonal perspectives!I live by the mantra that nothing is too small to know, and nothing is too big to attempt!Let's Connect!!
