Actuarial Team

Assigned full time to the actuarial project called “Life of claim”. The project tracked the claim from initial acceptance to the finalization, providing analytical and operational reports for the business in terms of costs, general performance and evaluation of solicitors and partners. The role involved tasks such as interviewing business users, gathering requirements, reviewing and writing business requirements report specifications, data mapping and data analysis. Achievements• Developed and produced (using SAS) operational reports to manage claims workload.• Coordinated the solicitor bordereaux process insuring the reports were completed downloaded and available to be analysed • Provided background and contextual information to assist the actuarial team to build the life of claim framework• Developed and produced(using SAS) operational reports to track the allocation of claims among Avant Law and the external legal firms• Support background and contextual information regarding the implementation of the claim complexity measures• Developed and Produced (using SAS) the KPI report for the Claims Department

Claims Department

Part of the Claims Department operations team. The operations’ team was responsible to provide operational support to the Claims Department.Responsible for support the development and implementation of the new system “Aurora claims”. The project involved replaced the old legacy system to the new claim system originally developed to “MDU UK” a medical defence company located in the UK. The role involved tasks such as interviewing business users, gathering requirements, reviewing and writing business requirements, technical specifications, mapping and design business processes, reviewing and approval of test plans and coordinate UAT test. Projects / AchievementsAurora claims – The project involved customise and implement a new claim system originally used by a similar medical defence company located in the UK. Supported development and implementation of the new Aurora claim system: Providing background and contextual information for Aurora developers during development phase of the project Providing technical specifications to Aurora developers when customization was necessary Mapping existing data to the new system, highlighting issues to be solved before migration Coordinated and monitored user acceptance tests and business acceptance test Provide the claim department with the “Acceptance document” outlining bug fixes and enhancements necessary to be finalised before system implementation. Other Achievements Developed the requirement specifications for the new claims Bordereaux Developed and produced a suite of analytic reports providing a comprehensive analysis of legal spend. Supported the implementation of the Legal Tender Project. Collect the data compile and produced the KPI report for the Claims Department. Produced the Claims Department enhanced business processes and workflows

Member Services

Part of the Member Services department’s operational team. The Operational team runs the projects across the department.The role involved a variety of tasks such as interviewing users, gathering requirements, reviewing and documenting business processes, reviewing and writing business requirements, technical specifications develop and perform test plans.Projects / Achievements• Streamlined the business processes of Professional Practice Indemnity policies’ administration • Coordinated test and implementation of system and business processes changes resulted of the financial replacement project.• Coordinated the overall tender process (RFI- RFP) and implementation of the call recording and quality monitoring for the Member Services contact

It Department

Part of the IPB project team responsible for the requirements, development and implementation of the new totally integrated insurance solution application based on IPB (insurance process backbone – Insurance package developed by Exigen Services). Responsible for the design of the claims component of the new system and also for mapping the business processes across the Real Insurance business units. The role involves tasks such as interviewing business users, gathering requirements, reviewing and writing business requirements technical specifications, mapping and design business processes, review and approve test plans and support EXIGEN developers overseas. Projects / AchievementsIPB claims – The project involved customise and implement a new claim system based on IPB (Insurance process backbone) an application developed by EXIGEN services, a multinational software house based in San Francisco USA. Produced the requirements for the new claims management system, based on the IPB application. Produced the mapping and specifications of the new business processes and workflow for the Real insurance call Centre Produced the mapping and specifications of the new business processes and workflow for Real insurance claims Supported the business and IPB developers during the development phase of the project by sorting out issues and facilitating the process of alignment between the business and developers Supported and coordinated during the UAT phase of the project

Part of the PER team, which was responsible to manage enhancements greater than 10 days’ work effort to Protect and related systems across all Vero Business Units.The role involved tasks such as interviewing clients, preparing business cases, gathering requirements, reviewing and documenting business processes, reviewing and writing business requirements Technical specifications, development and perform test plans, support and monitoring user acceptance testing. Projects / Achievements Improved PROTECT EFT functionality including: Enhanced existing client functionality and provide the ability to store multiple bank accounts for the same client Enhanced existing claim payments functionality and provide the ability to enter the bank account details Expanded existing EFT payment functionality to cover reinsurance premiums Developed functionality for automation of the process of purchasing foreign currency for overseas payments across VERO business units Developed functionality to enable “PROTECT” to handle under excess claims for Motor fleet.

Workers Compensation Department

Responsible to Investigate data and process issues regarding the work cover submission.The role involved tasks such as interviewing clients, investigation of data and system issues, writing Technical specifications, reviewing and documenting existing business processes, proposing improvements, reviewing existing testing and checks related to the submission. Projects / Achievements Produced document recommendations systems and/or business processes changes to improve the overall quality of the Submission data. Prepared technical specifications for the enhances agreed to improve the submission process Set up a data management framework to support the Workers Compensation department to improve and maintain high standards of data quality required by the Work Cover.
