About Sidney "Brett" Ewing
My name is Brett Ewing and I have found a passion in real estate through my past professional experiences and academics. I am currently a M.S. in Real Estate Candidate at the Wisconsin School of Business graduating in May 2024. Our class consists of a small inner circle of like minded real estate professionals who have given me the opportunity to expand and pursue my professional markets and networks across all backgrounds of the industry. I received my bachelors degree from The University of Alabama where I majored in marketing and finance with a double minor in real estate and sales and graduated as a cum laude business honors student. During my time at both institutions, I have built and solidified a vast network of fellow professional acquaintances who have been hired in all sectors of the industry and I have been given the knowledge of the intricacies and specifics of what it takes to be successful in this line of work. I have spent time with a number of different real estate companies that have given me a diverse perspective and exposure on being a real estate professional. I spent time as an intern at Colliers during my undergrad where I worked under a senior broker who tasked me with underwriting deals and acquiring tenants for buildings that we represented. My time as an analyst for a brokerage firm in Dallas exposed me to a diverse range of skill sets where I learned to master financial spreadsheets, procure tenants, acquire new clients for senior brokers, and many other skills such as underwriting deals requiring proficiency in financial modeling. I believe my experiences have made me a strong candidate to be a young real estate professional in this industry and I have found that I have excelled in financially underwriting prospective deals and understanding market analytics. My passion for this line of work continues to excel with my experiences in commercial real estate and I have found that I have been successful in my ability to bring value to the workplace and developing the lifelong relationships that are required for this line of work. I have always challenged myself to go beyond the best of my abilities and live by the fact that success is defined by the grit and sweat that generates more than what is required for both work and life.
