Co-Chair of the Mosaic employee resource group that promotes equity and diversity for Cengage employees.In my role I: * Helped navigate a change in organizational structure for roughly 75 active members across the country in response to a more remote workplace.* Started a program that partners with organizations for students of color at high schools that exposes them to career paths in education technology and publishing. Initial group consisted of 20 students, faculty advisors applauded the program for exposing students to the reality of education and career pathways from high school through college. Program is entering its 2nd year.* Met regularly with company executives to set goals, address concerns, and provide updates.* Helped plan and execute a company wide art auction that raised funds for a select group of charities.

I worked with public libraries in: WA, CA, OR, TX, IN, MN, MI, OH, ON, AL:In my role I: * Scheduled both in-person and virtual meetings with customers to establish and nurture relationships. This helped me exceed my annual goal; territory consisted of 75 large library systems supporting metropolitan areas with populations of 200,000-1 million+.* Established and leveraged relationships at different levels of the library to help navigate and adapt the challenges (strategic and political) and expectations of each customer.* Delivered an outstanding customer experience through consistent, proactive outreach to existing customers to reach 5% renewal growth; established what success meant for the customer, uncovered issues, identified growth opportunities at the account.* Spoke to an audience of over 100 library staff at varying levels on behalf of Gale at a sponsored breakfast during the Washington Library Association’s Annual Conference.*Created and presented a sales pitch to the largest buying group of libraries in California.* Wrote content, and coordinated with marketing, to create marketing material around helping libraries increase usage for Gale products and prove value to their city governments.

In my role I: * Used a combination of cold outreach and follow up on marketing qualified leads to exceed my sales goal in a territory of 200+ accounts that had traditionally underperformed. * Identified an opportunity for, then negotiated, a group purchasing agreement for small libraries in Connecticut that generated sales leads and helped the company penetrate a market that we hadn’t seen much movement in before.* Combined sales history analysis in Tableau, review or previous communication in Salesforce, and exploratory and descriptive research to gain a better understanding of each customer’s current state and identify opportunities.* Continuously improved sales skills by applying techniques learned in sales training and independent reading.
