KONG & PARK, INC., established in Korea in 2000, is a publisher specialized in “language textbooks” and “English publications.” We operate direct distribution networks in the United States, Chile, and China, and distribute books through consignment agreements with local companies in the European Union, Canada, Singapore, etc. We started distributing books internationally in 2012, and we are currently selling books in over 60 countries.

KPIPA plans to elevate the international competitiveness with respect to publishing media and industry in addition to increasing market share by revitalizing the publishing industry. In order to enhance productivity, KPIPA will seek quality contents and support their publication. KPIPA will also strengthen our competitiveness to a global level for the purpose of proliferating ‘Hallyu’ in the field of publishing industry, and nurture future growth engines suitable for the digital era. Last but not least, KPIPA will initiate projects that will revive every field of the publishing industry, ranging from creation, production and distribution to consumption.

Yonsei University Press was reorganized as an executive agency, the Press was standing at a critical crossroads. In those days, YUP concentrated on creating higher consumer brand recognition to make Yonsei University Press a world-class publisher. To this end, YUP reformed and reorganized the Press’ publication deliberation system. Through the innovation, YUP built up a preliminary review system and publishing standards to strengthen the Press’ academic merit and profitability, and made every book printed at YUP to pass a review system. Not only this, but the Press also introduced a cost accounting system as a way of consolidating the soundness of inventory asset by taking reasonable cost analyses. Meanwhile, YUP began to appoint external publishing specialists as members of the committee of deliberation and review, giving YUP a wider, deeper range of specialties in terms of management and publication.

With a membership of 620 publishers in Korea, Korean Publishers Association is the main voice of the nation's publishing industry and organizing the Seoul International Book Fair as well as Korean collective stands in the various international book fair.
