I grew up with very artistic parents who always encouraged me to let my creativity shine and to have the confidence to succeed in anything I put my mind to. Whether it was teaching myself to do hair through YouTube videos (which turned into a small business of doing prom hair in previous years), learning to ride horses when I was 14 after being terrified of them previous to that, or learning to knit, crochet, and sew also through YouTube; I have always been determined and confident that I could learn whatever I wanted. Beginning in high school and following me through my college career, I found my interest in learning Spanish. I love the idea of being able to communicate with people that I otherwise would never be able to speak to and learn from. This semester I accepted an internship with the Hispanic Institute at La Salle University, where I worked to create a marketing plan for the Institute to encourage bilingual people to join the Masters Program in translation and interpretation. This was the perfect internship for me because it combined both of my majors and I am able to use all of the knowledge I have gained through my years at La Salle.Other programs that I was involved in on campus are Alpha Mu Gamma (The Spanish Honors Society), Delta Sigma Pi (Professional Business Fraternity), and the Business Leadership and Fellows program. All of these organizations have given me insight and knowledge on how to succeed in the professional world, as well as giving me some of my closest friends. I've learned so much throughout my college career and I cannot wait to learn more in the following years.
