I am Sidónio Matusse, with over 3 years of experience working with Project Implementation in the fields of sustainable development and peace. Prior to joining the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Mozambique, I have worked as a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) Programme Specialist for Cultural Heritage and Diversity for Peace and Sustainable Development, supporting the implementation of Culture Programme at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Mozambique in its whole, as well as assisting the implementation and monitoring its related on track projects. Furthermore, I have worked as a Research Collaborator, at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Eduardo Mondlane University, where I was also responsible for Project Concepts, including design and communication strategy, as well as research in its whole. My early career paths include, but are not limited to, having worked as a volunteer, responsible for the Communication and Image sector at Rede para Desenvolvimento da Primeira Infância. Currently, at UNODC in Mozambique, I am working as a Project Assistant (Social Media and Admin), supporting the implementation of Projects related to AML/CFT and TPB, in particular and the Maputo Roadmap, in general. Aligned to this, I am currently the Communications Focal Point for UNODC Mozambique, and Youth Focal Point for UNODC Southern Africa Regional Office. I hold an honors degree in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management, and my interest and specialization goes beyond Culture for Peace, Conflict Prevention and Resolution of Conflicts.
