I manage a team of 12 sub-editors.I am responsible for all the content which goes on the website.I post news in real time.I handle the company's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

I work for the polio communication unit. My job involves traveling all over Sindh and bringing stories from the field.I edit op-eds that are later published in leading newspapers of the country,I edit a monthly polio report that is later distributed to media houses and international donors.

I covered education, health and human rights as my beats. During my time there one of my stories triggered a debate in the Sindh Assembly. In 2011 when I reported the closure of 30 schools in Orangi Town- a conflict ridden locality of Karachi the education minister took notice of it and wrote me a letter.I worked on transgender rights and did stories which explored their hopes and aspirations. Transgenders in the city continue to live in ghettos and are forced into prostitution and begging.I reported on an air-crash site where all 200 passengers lost their lives in 2012.I reported on the 2012 Baldia Factory fire where over 250 workers lost their lives.I reported from blast sites.I covered political rallies. In October 2014, the young Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chief of the Pakistan Peoples Party made his first public appearance in Karachi. The rally drew millions from all over Sindh. I reported on the rally for my newspaperI covered the polio campaign. Every year several security officials and polio workers get killed for carrying out the campaign. After a fake vaccination drive to ensnare Osama bin Laden was held by the CIA, the polio campaign has suffered a serious setback. Taliban militants regularly attack polio teams, as they think it is another plan by the CIA.

I was selected as visiting fellow by the ICFJ. I interned at the Florida Times Union for a month.
