As the Inaugural Director of the McNeil Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Colorado School of Mines, Sid developed the foundation to trigger and nurture engineering innovators and entrepreneurs. The Center was established through a gift by Charlie and Judy McNeil who are life-long entrepreneurs. Sid introduced ground-breaking programs for Mines students, faculty, alumni and donors in various industries and fields. Innov8x courses impacted the career trajectories of students, planted startup seeds that germinated post-graduation, and saw the launch of exciting startups. Innov8x Challenges triggered researcher-driven concepts and startups. Innov8x Studio enabled startups to build and test concepts, providing them with initial, demonstrable validation. Moreover, Sid established a new model for delivering scalable innovation training to working professional intrapreneurs globally.Sid is a management researcher who examines how innovators collaborate to develop creative solutions for complex challenges in spite of the constraints they face. Delivering impactful results, Sid advises innovation seeking organizations.
