Tariff optimisation and tariff reset reviews for best value network tariff. Bill validation, contract charge audits and recovery of uncontracted charges from the retailer. Management of utility administration for temporary builder's supply connections and disconnections, permanent power connections, metering contracts sourcing and administration. Review connection offers in SA to ensure best available rebate for new and upgraded transformer connections.

Activities included coordination of project team to work on client’s brief, quality assurance, and content writing for handbook for utility engineers on grid connected rooftop PV system and development of Trainers’ Manual.Project Lead for GSES India under Smart Power India and Cambridge Energy Resources' Solar Minigrid Feasibility Project for Telecom Towers across 10 sites in Uttar Pradesh. Activities included leading site survey, coordinating data acquisition and data analysis, report writing.Scoping, design, research management and coordination of project team to deliver Energy Efficiency Policy as well as Procurement Documentation for Microhydro plant for Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.Project Lead for GSES India under Smart Power India for feasibility study of a solar PV powered micro irrigation scheme for small land holding farmers.Feasibility study, design and engineering of a cumulative 100 KW of grid connected, off grid and hybrid rooftop solar PV systems for schools and institutions.Invention - Design and prototype of a Portable Solar PV based water pumping system sub 1KW - 2KW size for small subsistence farmers.

OVERVIEW Investigation, development and implementation of energy reduction works within council assets. Development and integration of environmental reporting systems and sustainable procurement within council’s processes. KEY PROJECTS Scoping, planning, design management, tendering, contract management and delivery of Solar PV, lighting, HVAC and pump control projects valued at $900,000 across 15 large and small properties. The works resulted in savings of $180,000 in energy and maintenance expenses, 7% reduction in energy use and carbon emissions. Program design, commissioning and coordination of Level 1, 2 and 3 energy audit projects across 25 large and small properties, valued at $100,000. Developed funding application to secure $380,000 in government grants to implement projects. The application was one of only 63 successful nationwide. Design, implementation and integration of Energy, Carbon and Water Accounting and Reporting System consistent with ISO 14064, enabling the City to establish carbon emissions reduction targets for its operations. Scoping and facilitation of training and capacity building sessions for Procurement team to integrate sustainability principles in supply chain and contracts managed by the organisation.

Followed up with delivering presentations on ‘Industrial Ecology: An emerging paradigm for waste management’ at Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC), NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) and Institute of Environmental Studies at UNSW, Sydney (2009).
