These users were switched to view only non-billable positions that will save Ascension $5 million per year.

• Part of an elite Clinical Transformation team that worked with healthcare organizations domestically and internationally, transforming the way healthcare is delivered through successful execution of clinically driven projects. • Provided leadership and management for development of an integrated Clinical Transformation Team and technology implementation for the U.K. National Health Service healthcare improvement program.• Determined causes for the decrease in reported revenue of seven million pounds since the implementation of the new PAS system. Accounted for and recovered 95% of short fall. • Provided post-implementation support for Cerner applications, including PowerChart, PharmNet, CareMobile, RadNet, PathNet, ESM, and Charge Services. • Integral member of a team that assisted Tenet Healthcare Leadership in creating and establishing the Clinical Informaticist program around their Meaningful Use project.• Worked with Perot Systems Canada MEDITECH division developing successful proposals for the CE-LIEN and NEON of Canada.

• Created strategic I.T. vision for the organization, leading strategy planning and gaining key stakeholder buy-in to establish continuous improvement and best practices. • Conducted a vendor-neutral Electronic Medical Record selection process completed in 90 days. Included Board approval, contract negotiation, and signing. • Created an I.T. governance structure providing valuable input and guidance at the executive level. Provided design and framework for the development of the program’s benefits. Presented status reports to the hospital’s board.• Provided comprehensive oversight through a Cerner implementation's full life-cycle involving 12 applications in a 14-month timeframe, delivered on time and under budget. Primary responsibilities included contract negotiations, resource allocation, change management, process redesign, clinical adoption and transformation, training, budget administration, and program management. • Acted as Project Manager for Vital Works, Cerner’s subscription-based physician’s office management system. Duties included project oversight, workflow analysis, and site walk-through for equipment placement.

• Reported to the Chief Medical Officer, responsible for the development and implementation of Computerized Physician Order Entry through Physician Clinical Adoption; Co-led a physician steering committee with the Chief Medical Office.• Guided the committee through transformation of paper records to an electronic environment that included laying the foundation for CPOE; Recruited personnel to assist with the Cerner ASC build, enhancing project timeliness and success.
