Spearheaded the development and implementation of an open-source foundational framework that revolutionized target-based drug discovery workflows. DAIKON efficiently records and identifies therapeutic targets, and tracks screening progress, hit sets, projects, and portfolios, facilitating the selection of clinical candidates. Currently, the tool is actively used by the prestigious TB Drug Accelerator program at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among scientists, chemists, and project/portfolio managers from pharmaceutical companies, non-profits, and universities. Its multidisciplinary collaboration and workflow efficiency enhancements have made a significant impact in the field.

Funded by the 'US Department of Defense', 'National Institute of Health' and 'Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation', SACLab researches structural biology. I led the design and implementation of a cutting-edge container-based IT infrastructure, following the principles of Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps. By employing tools such as Terraform and CHEF, we successfully migrated critical services, including single sign-on (SSO), LDAP, databases, web servers, load balancers, syslog, and compute apps, to a container-based approach across hybrid data centers. I also orchestrated the migration of legacy storage systems to ZFS-backed cloud storage services, designing a robust solution capable of storing petabytes of data with snapshots, backups, and disaster recovery capabilities.

One of my key accomplishments was initiating the adoption of a DevOps culture, revolutionizing the way we approached configuration management systems and server migration. By implementing automation strategies and leveraging system containers, we were able to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. I led the establishment of a seamless continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline, ensuring the rapid and efficient delivery of applications.In addition to driving cultural change, I also played a vital role in developing applications and CHEF cookbooks to implement a comprehensive configuration management pipeline. This pipeline supported diverse Linux applications, including Apache, Radius, YUM Repository Server, and Nagios, all running on LXD containers. By creating various LWRPs (Lightweight Resource Providers) and HWRPs (Heavyweight Resource Providers), I was able to streamline complex code and standardize commonly used functions for the team. Furthermore, I authored the 'InSpec Handler,' an open-source framework that enabled automated infrastructure testing, ensuring that our systems were consistently compliant and secure.

Mahindra & Mahindra is a US $17.8 billion Company and has an operational presence in over 100 countries. Being the largest producer of tractors in the world and India’s largest vehicle manufacturer, it had started revolutionizing India’s EV Segment. I was working with the 'Mobility Solutions' team that led the development of a ‘connected car’ platform to provide an end-to-end solution to the consumer, who was presented with a Mobile App and a web page to manage his car remotely.1 Developed core algorithms for an intelligent ‘Trip Analyzer’ that considers 32 real time telematics parameter, and predicts the possibility of a trip, helping electric vehicle users reduce their range anxiety. 2 Collaborated with five independent vendors working on Server Infrastructure, M2M wireless network, Telematics Unit Firmware, Mobile App, and in-car 12V electronics team to expedite the ‘Connected Car’ program. 3 Developed independently, a Java-based plug-and-play application ‘TGUCommunicator’, that intelligently debugs and recovers failed in-car telematics system. This promoted in accomplishing the target of 'zero defects' in Mobility Solution operations.4 Revitalized the Production Line QA/QC by reusing the above application; improving the efficiency of quality checks by 60%.5 Investigated and automated a critical testing process by writing PHP scripts. It saved 300 person-hours per month worth of manual testing. This achievement was appreciated by the company’s CEO and CTO.
