Onsite volunteering & shadowing experience with an esteemed ODU graduate student, currently conducting research on the effectiveness of copper (II) berberine complex to diminish triple negative breast cancer.

Work-study student at Diehns Music Library in F. Ludwig Diehns School of Music at ODU. Responsibilities include routine book shelving, preparation of Diehns Composers Room for special events, and assistance with patron concerns.

Worked as a research intern as a part of the 2024 Pauley Heart Center Undergraduate Fellowship, under thementorship of Dr. Salvatore Carbone & the Cardiometabolic Lab at the Department of Kinesiology & Health Sciences at VCU. Shadowing skilled cardiologists, medical personnel, and lab technicians in the VCU Health System. Presented a research poster titled "Validation of BIA compared to DEXA to Measure Body Composition for Patients with Obesity-Related HFpEF" authored by myself, Syed Imran Ahmed, Dr. Carbone, & the rest of the Cardiometabolic Lab.

Completed summer research internship project at Pauley Heart Center. Presented a research poster titled 'Sex Differences in the Quality of Life in Patients with HFpEF,' authored by Dr. Salvatore Carbone & the Cardiometabolic Lab at the Department of Kinesiology & Health Sciences at VCU. Additionally, I learned/observed skills in relation to medical research such as practicing DEXA scans, shadowed heart failure clinics within VCU Health medical center, and leveraging SPSS statistical software.
