He guide team members in handling complex problems, build teams with a "Yes, can do" attitude and foster a team and success orientated culture among local and global operations at US, Europe and Asia.He started working with VLSI test systems during his studies and has an extensive background in the entire semiconductor manufacturing chain; his focus is on semiconductor test.Siegfried is Senior Director of Applications Engineering, Europe at Cohu Semiconductor Test GmbH, leading a world-class test engineering team across Europe. Prior to this he was Senior Manager of Global Baseband Test at Infineon AG.. He and his team from Europe and Singapore, ramped the Infineon design center for Semiconductors in Xian/China and contributed significantly to the market share of Infineon’s mobile phone semiconductors.Before joining Infineon, Siegfried was Business Development Manager at Panoratio. He was responsible for the market introduction of BigData tools within the semiconductor division.Siegfried learned semiconductor test at the industry leader Advantest in Munich, Germany. He was Deputy Division director of engineering and responsible for a team of engineers all over Europe. Siegfried supervised teams responsible for the application and systems engineering, software engineering and customer training. He built up his team and related offices at strategic customers and business relevant locations over Europe.While at Advantest he was exposed to many semiconductor test relevant aspects as tester applications, tester R&D in the Japanese HQ, handling systems and all kind of HW/SW interfaces. During his starting years, he signed responsible at Advantest for factory automation tools at major European semiconductor companies.Siegfried developed a substantial knowledge base and various leadership skills. His experience leading engineering teams in semiconductor manufacturing environments enables him to respond accurate, fast and dedicated to issues encountered on production sites and R&D level.Siegfried has a Engineering Master’s degree in electrical science from the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen, Germany (Dipl.-Ing. Univ) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA Open) from the Open University in Milton Keynes, UK.
