Working in a Product Management team leader in the Security Services Global Products and Solutions team at Verizon following the Niddel acquisition. Responsibilities covered product roadmap and strategy, sales enablement support, compliance, analyst relationships, marketing, training and process definitions for products. Initial work was focused on bringing Niddel Magnet into the Verizon Security Services portfolio as Autonomous Threat Hunting. In June 2018 scope was extended to cover the entire Detect portfolio, including MSS Analytics, Network Threat Advanced Analytics and Deception as a Service.

A strong interaction with our international offices in the US and UK to support pre-sales and marketing efforts is noteworthy and brought great new perspective.Executive leadership and hands-on involvement resulted in simultaneous ISO 20.000 and ISO 27.001 initiatives for our IT and MSS operations, respectively, in a record 3 months. CIPHER was the best (and as far as we know the only) MSSP to be both ISO 20.000 and ISO 27.001 certified.Led the implementation of a Project Management Office which led to improved results and visibility on consulting and pre-sales activities, particularly on staffing decisions.Led the restructuring and quality improvement of our MSS team, operational processes, portfolio and pre-sales that resulted in expressive revenue increase and the 2012 Brazilian Frost & Sullivan Award for Competitive Strategy Leadership.Moreover, after a successful round of investment from BNDES, gained the responsibility for beginning CIPHER's R&D initiative. That included leading the decision-making process on the R&D portfolio, the product architecture and feature set/roadmap definition, development and QA methodology and KPIs, as well as in the recruitment, development and retention of the R&D team.One of the achievements on this position was winning what is most likely the largest security monitoring and log management project in Brazil, with an oil and gas enterprise, in late 2011.

Tecgraf is one of the most respected research laboratories in PUC-Rio and is where the Lua programming language was first developed and widely used. While a student at the university I took on a part-time year-round position as a junior researcher there.The main activities revolved around developing improvements and new features to the AnaSeTe project in a mix of C, C++ and Lua in a portable way for Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris and IRIX environments. It is a visualization and analysis solution used in the Oil and Gas industry to support analysis of core samples. Plus, I had the opportunity to do some interesting research on experimental vector image formats for use in web applications called the Tecgraf Web Format.
