Founded in 1999, CIPHER grew successfully from a boutique start-up to a global company with over 300 employees in Brazil, U.S. and the U.K. CIPHER has been recognized by renowned security analysts as a leading information security firm - most recently by Frost and Sullivan with the 2012 Strategic Excellence Award in Managed Security Services for the Brazilian market. After the company received an additional round of VC funding, in 2012 there was a planned transition out of day-to-day operations into the Company’s Board of Advisors.

CIPHER was the best (and as far as we know the only) MSSP to be both ISO 20.000 and ISO 27.001 certified.Led the implementation of a Project Management Office which led to improved results and visibility on consulting and pre-sales activities, particularly on staffing decisions.Led the restructuring and quality improvement of our MSS team, operational processes, portfolio and pre-sales that resulted in expressive revenue increase and the 2012 Brazilian Frost & Sullivan Award for Competitive Strategy Leadership.Moreover, after a successful round of investment from BNDES, gained the responsibility for beginning CIPHER's R&D initiative. That included leading the decision-making process on the R&D portfolio, the product architecture and feature set/roadmap definition, development and QA methodology and KPIs, as well as in the recruitment, development and retention of the R&D team.One of the achievements on this position was winning what is most likely the largest security monitoring and log management project in Brazil, with an oil and gas enterprise, in late 2011.
