As Product Owner Top Level Domains, I am responsible for the registry division at Dotlocal. We operate the Dutch geographical domain extensions for Amsterdam (.amsterdam) and the province of Friesland (.frl), as well as the .co.nl second level domain.We also involve in new regional domain extensions. We expect the next opportunity to start early 2026 and are assisting local governments, city marketing and regional organisations in setting up their own .local. Just as Amsterdam has its .amsterdam and London has its .london, why would Rotterdam not have their .rotterdam, Limburg their .limburg or Salzburg their .salzburg? I'm the one in charge for contractual, compliance, technical and procedural issues, often on the road for involvement in the industry. I'm closely working together with our commercial product manager and our development team, and more than happy to assist our support, sales and marketing teams with knowledge and experience.

As Product Manager Domains, I am responsible for all domain-related projects at Openprovider, including accreditation processes, involvement through suppliers' and industry conferences, facilitating our "new gTLD" strategy, translating customer input to the development team, assisting in acquisitions and more. I love sharing experience and knowledge with the other teams and with our customers by means of the company blog.

During the first years of Openprovider's existence, I've fulfilled all possible roles, from support to marketing, from development to sales. Over the years, after we started hiring people for specific departments (support, development, ...). this channeled towards a product manager role.

The Dutch Registrar Association (Vereniging van Registrars / VvR) represents most .nl registrars and provides solicited and unsolicited feedback to SIDN on a wide range of topics. The Technical Committee of the Registrar Association is involved in the technical aspects of the registrar system and beyond. Representing Openprovider, I bring a lot of experience from other registries worldwide.
