I began my career in natural resources at Utah State University where I graduated with a B.S in Wildlife Ecology and Management. Throughout my undergrad I worked in several labs, completed a study abroad program and volunteered with environmental groups. After graduation I interned with Kruger National Park and Balule Game Reserve in South Africa, focusing on population dynamics of rare and endangered species as well as game reserve management. Since graduation I have been working for the Bureau of Land Management in St. George, Utah through the American Conservation Experience. Through this position I’ve been mentored by the wildlife biologist for the Red Cliffs and Beaver Dam Wash National Conservation Areas and conducted surveys, created management plans, and coordinated habitat restoration projects for endangered species in the Mojave Desert. I hope to pursue a Master’s Degree in Population Ecology and am interested in population demographics of sensitive species in the face of climate change!
