Harvard GlobalWE is a shared interest group of the Harvard Alumni Association. We are dedicated to the empowerment of women through education, dialogue and connection among individuals working for women's rights and freedoms worldwide. Harvard Alumni for Global Women’s Empowerment (“GlobalWE”) is a Shared Interest Group (“SIG”) of the Harvard Alumni Association (“HAA”). GlobalWE’s mission states, among other things: “We are dedicated to the empowerment of women through education, dialogue and connection among individuals working for women's rights and freedoms worldwide. Harvard GlobalWE does not advocate a specific ideology or agenda; rather, we highlight and raise awareness about issues concerning women's empowerment worldwide…” Our primary goal is akin to what Marty Baron identified in his May 2020 Harvard Commencement address, to “reveal the world as it is -- because someone might then make things better.” We strive to carry out our mission in a way that is politically neutral without advocacy. We are dedicated to education, with a core focus on nurturing a community of Harvard alumni who are devoted to empowering women around the world. GlobalWE welcomes and embraces all people who choose to join us, regardless of political or ideological perspectives. We assume as a foundational principle that women, like all people, have inalienable human rights, which are universal and not subject to politics or ideological argument.

Academic Advisor for Harvard College Class of 2028, Harvard College Advising Programs Office • Provide academic guidance and support to Harvard College students, specifically the class of 2028. • Assist students in developing personalized academic plans, ensuring alignment with their interests and career aspirations. • Facilitate workshops and individual advising sessions to help students navigate academic challenges, explore opportunities, and make informed decisions about their education. • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other advisors to create a supportive and enriching academic environment. • Encourage and mentor students in their personal and academic growth, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

The Student Experience Team (SET) is a student-led group supported by the Curriculum Design and Assessment strand of the Teaching and Learning Lab (TLL) as a part of its continuous improvement work. The goal of the SET is to center student needs and bring a diversity of student voices into the design and continuous improvement of learning opportunities, student supports, and/or co-curricular experiences in the Ed.M. program by serving as a research and design-thinking consultancy group and conducting student-led project-based inquiry.As the coordinator of the Student Experience Team (SET) at the Teaching & Learning Lab, I supported and managed several key projects, including "Student Onboarding," "International Student Experience," "Life Design," "Generative AI," and "How People Learn."In this capacity, I played a pivotal role in the research and design-thinking consultancy initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of learning opportunities, student supports, and co-curricular experiences within the Ed.M. program.My responsibilities encompassed facilitating focus groups, conducting surveys, leading design activities, and employing various research methods to gather insights. Through these endeavors, I actively engaged with diverse student voices, fostering stakeholder engagement and contributing to the enhancement of HGSE's offerings.This experience provided me with valuable professional development opportunities, allowing me to apply and refine skills in research, design, improvement processes, and leadership within an educational context.

China

Flourish Life Design Academy is the first academy in China to combine international best practices, life design and positive psychology, to instruct young people from all social backgrounds to increase social-emotional coping skills and design their ideal lives. Our mission is to equip every youth with the tools to become their own life designer. Founded under the SDGs of Education Equality, we provide systematic courses for schools, organizations, parents, and individuals to use design thinking to solve problems, explore life possibilities, and improve wellbeing and happiness.As the founder of Flourish Life Design Academy in China, my responsibilities included designing and delivering impactful life design courses and workshops. Leveraging my certification as a life design coach from the Stanford Life Design Lab, I successfully impacted over 3000 students.I shared comprehensive reports on applying the Stanford Life Design Model to empower students' intrinsic motivation, guiding them in discovering life meaning and fostering hope at the American Educational Research Association Annual Conference.Additionally, I actively collaborated with schools and non-profit organizations, spearheading personal development training initiatives. This collaborative effort aimed to extend the reach of life design principles and empower individuals in their personal and professional journeys. Through these responsibilities, I contributed to the academy's mission of inspiring positive transformations in the lives of students and the broader community.

The UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) is UNESCO's category 1 Research Institute that focuses on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.7 towards education for building peaceful and sustainable societies across the world.As the Master Trainer at UNESCO MGIEP, my key responsibilities included facilitating online courses on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for Schools and The Digital Teacher, engaging with educators from diverse global locations. I played a pivotal role in establishing effective channels of communication with participants, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment throughout the training cycle.Moreover, I played a key part in collaborative efforts with education departments in India, Maldives, Africa, and Bhutan. Our shared goal was to train public school teachers in aligning their curricula with the UNESCO curriculum, aiming for a more comprehensive and globally relevant educational framework. Through these initiatives, I contributed to the enhancement of educational practices and the promotion of SEL in diverse cultural and educational contexts.

The mission of SAERA is to build bridges and connections in culture and academic fields between China and the United States. As a Positive Psychology Trainer, I conduct workshops, classes and events related to the topics of positive psychology, happiness, grit, strength, and growth mindset.

Sino-American Educational Research Association is a Non-Profit Organization registered in the State of New York. The mission of SAERA is to build bridges and connections in culture and academic fields between China and the United States. As a Program Coordinator, I organized events, classes, workshops for audience from all over the world.

Watson Institute is a place where next generation entrepreneurs and leaders can find their community, discover their calling, and accelerate their careers. As a Watson Scholar with a full scholarship in 2022, I was able to learn and be mentored by outstanding entrepreneurs and leaders from all over the world. At Watson, I conducted Designing Your Life workshop as a master course for scholars in spring 2022 cohort and will conduct it for the upcoming Fall cohort.

Global Youth Union for World Peace was founded under the circumstances of the pandemic and tense relationship between China and the United States. The union brings awareness to peace and collaboration, promotes hope and unity, and conducts cross-cultural dialogue between countries. We conducted 16-session forum which lasted for 4 months, 112 days, including 36 speakers, and over 100 volunteers. In Global Youth Union of World Peace, we desire to create this safe space for youth to grow, to dream and to influence. Through leadership training, mentorship, cross-country dialogue, positive psychology, and life design training, we will help youth to flourish and to make an impact. John F. Kennedy once said: Don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. We carry this mission of changing the world and empowering the youths. There is so much we can do for others and the world: Poverty, hunger, quality of education, gender equality, environment and energy, climate change, injustice, and of course, world peace. It depends on every one of us.
