I started my role at Rybrook MINI in October 21 as an experienced Sales Executive. I joined the team to sell New, Used and Motability vehicles inclusive. I was able to transfer my skills and experience of BMW Group systems directly into this role in order to get down with this upbeat brand, and hit the ground running. I had a fantastic year with MINI, before deciding to explore a career outside of the Motor Trade.

I started at Cotswold BMW as a Trainee Sales Executive in March 2019 with moderate knowledge of the motor trade but with limited sales skills and brand knowledge. I soon became confident in the role and an enthusiast of the brand. I thoroughly enjoyed my career with Cotswold, and seeing my confidence and sales skills advance to Sales Executive accreditation level and beyond. I also became Motability accredited in December 2019.

In this role, I mainly focussed on the processing of Used Car Sales. My role was to maintain the vehicle stock list, ensuring all cars were bought in correctly, had necessary workshop lines pushed and were entirely prepped for sale. I made sure that cars are advertised on the internet displaying the correct price, mileage, specification etc. Once a used car was sold, I ensured that all bases were covered from the point of sale to the point of archiving the file. I had to ensure that the paperwork was without errors, GDPR was compliant, customer invoices processed, Part Exchange(s) loaded and any outstanding finance was settled exactly. The final stages were to change the keeper and tax the vehicle before leaving the dealership. I was required to use basic accounting every day when working out Vatable amounts and invoicing deals. I particularly enjoyed working in Admin as I was allowed to maximise my organisational skills, and it was in this was the role that I learnt a vast amount about the processes behind the running of the Motor Industry, in preparation for my next role in New Car Sales.
