I am a University of Michigan Ross School of Business Master's of Business Management student in search of an Event Management position in the hospitality sector. I have nearly a decade of diverse experience in front-of-house restaurant and bar operations; I have worked many different positions (serving, hosting, floor managing, bartending) at multiple businesses with varying styles of service (speakeasy, brewpub, fine-dining, fast-dining). I also have office experience from my time as a paralegal receptionist at an immigration law firm (Hudson Legal). This position allowed me to expand upon my time management and organizational skills, as it was a very fast-paced and precision-driven environment. I was able to earn a considerable amount of responsibility, which gave me the opportunity really explore a position where others were heavily reliant on my knowledge, decision-making, and execution skills. I look forward to taking the skills and knowledge I've gained from each of these positions and applying them to a new facet of the hospitality industry. I truly enjoy the fast-paced and consumer driven aspects of bars and restaurants, and am excited to combine that energy with the more organizational and technical aspects of Event Management.

Bartender/ServerThe Raven'S Club Jun 2020 - PresentAnn Arbor, Michigan, United StatesI am currently employed in a hybrid serving and bartending position where I toggle between both often. In both positions, I work to provide a quality guest experience in a speakeasy styled and fast-paced environment. This position requires extensive knowledge of craft cocktails and spirits, which I utilize daily to offer suggestions and pairings for guests during their experience. The pandemic has amplified the need for flexibility, expecting each employee (myself included) to be ready, able, and willing to take on different roles at a moment's notice and fill the gaps where necessary.

Bartender/ServerMission Management Services, Inc Jan 2016 - Sep 2020Ann Arbor, Michigan, United StatesDuring my time working for Mission Management Services, I worked at two locations: Mash (speakeasy styled cocktail and whiskey bar), and Blue Tractor BBQ & Brewery (pub-styled brewery specializing in BBQ offerings). In my positions, I provided exemplary customer service (serving and bartending) in a fast-paced speakeasy style bar. In addition to general front-of-house duties, I managed day-of execution of private event services (food and drink), including set-up, service, and clean-up. I ensured that clients and guests experienced quality, timely, and memorable service. Throughout my employment, I was promoted multiple times: from greeter to server, to cocktail server and ultimately to bartender. Each position entailed considerably different skill sets ranging from substantial face-to-face guest interaction to fast-paced service with a wide set of knowledge about spirits and cocktails. -
