Approaching the biology from an engineering perspective is endlessly exciting, which is why I major in biomedical engineering. I find this field embraces the reality that all engineering is human-centered. I love being able to take ideas grounded in physics and math and apply them to something as messy, unknown, and complex as the human body. I enjoy challenging, data-oriented work, which has led me to pursue a minor in computational data analysis.I have a strong passion for supporting women in my field and in STEM in general. This is why I have used my previous roles as Director of Outreach of the Society of Women Engineers and Vice President of the Society of Automotive Engineers at Georgia Southern University to engage young girls and women in what STEM has to offer.I enjoy staying busy, but when I do have free time, you can probably find me on the rock wall!
