As a Talent Development Specialist with over a decade of experience in the banking industry, I am passionate about empowering professionals to reach their highest potential and drive organizational success. I strive to illuminate the path for others, helping them to shine and sparkle in their careers. ✨ I began my career at a one branch credit union as a member service representative. In this role I was a part of a 5 member team and wore many hats such as teller work, marketing, collateral management, community outreach, record keeping, social media, deposit operations, lending, and more. This role was the perfect foundation for a career in banking.5 years later I decided it was time to grow in my career and I took on a Personal Banker II role. I developed skills in consultative sales, built relationships with one bank partners in wealth, mortgage, private banking, commercial, and merchant services. Being located at a training branch I cultivated coaching and leadership skills. I was ready to step into leadership.I then joined Civista as an Assistant Branch Manager and was quickly promoted to Branch Manager. My passions truly are coaching and leadership. I focus on leading with (E)ase: Empathy, Engagement, Empowerment, and Education. As of last May I switched departments and joined the Learning & Development Team as AVP, Talent Development Specialist. I am able to utilize my strengths and passions in this role to develop the existing talents of employees and up-skill where needed. Key focuses are leadership development, coaching certification, team development workshops, employee resource group involvement, and much more. Being involved in our internal community is one of my favorite parts of Civista. I am a 3 year DEI council member and contributing editor of the DEI monthly newsletter. Co-leader of our Women in Business ERG and co-host of our first internal podcast. I lead our Colleague Connection Program for our new employees. I participate in our Innovation Committee and am part of our Social Media Group #Social StarsI also am a Career Coach and Resume Writer for Ambitious Advancement LLC.
