Hi I’m Sierra! I have recently completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree with Distinction at the University of Alberta, I am passionate about encouraging athletes to reach their performance goals through successful rehabilitation of injuries. I also have an interest in helping individuals at all phases of life rehabilitate their injuries and go back to their activities of daily living. As a student and through my variety of work experiences, I have developed various interpersonal and technical skills which I believe would make me an ideal fit for this position. I have developed strong communication skills through my practicum position with the University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas Varsity Health program, during which I had to communicate both verbally and through email with coaches, athletes, and varsity therapists. This position also gave me additional experience in a team-oriented setting which required quick decision making and a great amount of dedication to the team. Following my practicum, I spent time working as a kinesiologist at both The Bridge Sports Therapy and Training and Pivotal Physiology which required me to be extremely organized, communicate effectively, and manage time productively.During school I worked with both the University of Alberta Bears and Pandas Athletics with Event Staff as well as with The Bridge Sports Therapy and Training as a Patient Experience Representative and Kinesiologist. In these positions I performed a wide variety of tasks, such as welcoming and assisting customers and providing support to coworkers. The experience from these positions have given me a greater understanding of how to provide exceptional customer service and how to work in a fast-paced team environment. They have allowed me to develop good time management skills and the ability to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently. I am now going back to school for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing After-Degree in order to further pursue my interest in healthcare and helping others! Let's connect!
