My passion and focus lies in applying my research and my educational privilege to the workplace. Therefore, my main areas of study focus on organizational communication within diversity and inclusion. I have read numerous research studies and literature focusing on diversity and inclusion within organizations throughout my academic career. I have taken courses relating to diversity effects, work/life balance, emotions in organizations, feminist pedagogy, and small group communication. The literature and research I have done in these classes have given me both breadth and depth in terms of inclusive communicative strategies within organizations. I have piloted a research project where I interviewed Diversity and Inclusive Officers, and I am using this work to develop related training programs.
