As an Admission Specialist at Acadia Healthcare, I work with a team of professionals to provide compassionate and quality care for individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. I conduct intake assessments, verify insurance benefits, coordinate referrals, and facilitate admissions to our facilities. I also maintain accurate and timely documentation of all admission activities and communicate with clients, families, and other stakeholders.I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Florida A&M University, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in social justice, human behavior, research methods, and policy analysis. I also completed internships at the Public Defender's Office and the Innocence Project of Florida, where I applied my learning to real-world situations and developed my competencies in conflict resolution, adaptability, and innovation. I am passionate about helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their goals, and I am always eager to learn and grow as a social worker.
