At McLean Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center, I assist patients with the administration of Spravato and TMS treatments for Major Depressive Disorder and Treatment-Resistant Depression. My role involves administering the Montgomery–Åsberg Depression Rating Scale, monitoring patients under the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) protocol, and handling administrative tasks, including scheduling and insurance management. Additionally, I manage the practice’s social media presence, creating weekly content to promote our services and engage with the community.

In my role as a Guidance Specialist at ComPsych, I handled high-volume call loads, conducting risk assessments and intakes for clients seeking therapy services. I de-escalated clients in crisis and connected them to appropriate resources, such as therapy, legal assistance, and elder care. My role required quick problem-solving, resource identification, and accurate documentation to ensure clients' needs were met effectively and efficiently.

As an Intake Support Technician, I reviewed ongoing psychiatric referrals from facilities across Missouri and Illinois, completed intake for adolescent and adult patients entering the hospital, assisted in de-escalation using Handle with Care when needed, verified insurance, completed prior authorizations for mental health treatment, and trained staff on insurance-related tasks. I was responsible for entering referrals, inquiry calls, and admissions into MS4 for hospital records. This role also taught me how to maintain positive relationships with healthcare and insurance agencies in the state of Missouri.

As a Teaching Assistant, I worked under the direction of Dr. Jeremy Heider for the course, PY370: Research Methods in Psychology. In this role, I assisted in grading research reports and proposals, preparing course materials, answering student questions regarding coursework, and facilitating small group work during class meetings.

As a Behavioral Health Assistant, I worked in the women's and men's residential rehabilitation program where I led regular group education sessions regarding substance use disorder and relapse prevention techniques. I was responsible for completing daily notes on all clients at the facility and monitoring clients in withdrawal from drug use. This position required constant communication between Clinical Coordinator, nurses, and counselors at the facility to ensure high-quality care for all clients.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, I worked at Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center with youth aged 6-17 who were experiencing severe mental disturbances, anger-related issues, and aggressive behaviors. I led Dialectial Behavior Therapy groups to youth over emotion regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. I regularly intervened in crisis situations using ProACT techniques and completed thought chains after explosive behaviors. This position involved the oversight of residents and their safety. I also attended regular treatment family meetings with administrative staff to discuss treatment plans and resident progress in the program.
