Developed 2070-6E serial Ethernet communication module, to connect legacy 2070 controllers to interface with Traffic Based LAN networks.Developed 900MHz Spread Spectrum Radio, designed to replace legacy FSK modems in CALTRANS 2070 Traffic Controller applications. The design implemented two different configurations of the radio, including the option to add Internet Protocol or IP-Radio (PCB layout common to both). The programmable logic was designed to route serial and/or IP data, depending on personality configuration. This approach reduced manufacturing cost, requiring only one PCB and a 98% common component configuration between models. The GDI 2070-6W has passed CALTRANS lab for testing and evaluation, and is listed in the Qualified Purchase List (QPL).
