I’m attending an interesting traineeship at Bleckmann. Further depth on the positions I held there can be found below.

As a helpful member of the project team, I took on a large project for facility. There, I laid the groundwork with the Facility Manager for a critical re-evaluation of how to house our resources in our systems. Further more I took on some projects under continuous improvement. These were about creating better flow and planning within the operation of the warehouse. In this I gained very interesting insights and had the privilege of working with many intelligent employees.

I worked as part of the health and safety department for a cluster of warehouses. Here we made evaluations and investigated potentially dangerous situations and did our best to make all the warehouses and processes in them as safe as possible. When occupational accidents happened, we always worked methodologically to get the facts out, report to higher management and take appropriate action.

As part of the transit team, I helped track all incoming and outgoing shipments and assisted with this in the administration and correctness of labels and boxes.

The challenge was to set up a new department in the warehouse where we would monitor, research and find logical solutions to facilitate overall operation in the warehouse and supervisory capabilities.

My first challenge was to lead the entire operation for a well-known Belgian e-commerce client as team leader. I supervised the whole process of inbound, inventory control, order picking, packing and outbound. In doing so, I focused on leveraging the strengths of my employees.

I assisted the facilities team in organizing the checkroom with both order and administration. We also took care of the maintenance of all the coffee machines in the building. However, this was a short-term contract and interim solution.

While moderating, I judged content for appropriateness according to different policies and according to their severity. I moderated video material in Dutch, English & occasionally in Spanish. I learned how to work remotely with a team, to use strict policies (GDPR) and to contribute to the improvement of moderation working methods.

In addition, I provided general mental support in response to the challenges of the Covid pandemic.
