Managing Departmental Human Resources by ensuring that the complimentary of staff is sufficient for the departmental needs. Also responsible for the staff development to enhance their skills in order to obtain good job output. Responsible for Departmental Finance, doing projected budgeting for the forthcoming financial year, also managing the overtime of the Department. Ensuring the procurement of spares that are within the correct specifications.Projects Lifecycle Model implementations (together with site Engineers)Contract Management, where I am responsible for all contractors that will be working under my department ensuring that they meet the standards set and also ensuring compliance to OHSAS Act. I also sit on the contract negotiations committee.I am also the custodian of Works Management (SAP PM Maintenance) in the absence of the appointed WM Manager for all over the Station, where I ensure the correct planning of the jobs, the spares required to perform the planned tasks, ensuring the execution of planned and paperwork at the end of it all is captured for maintenance history. Ensuring that all Statutory routines are executed on time, and if not I also arrange for the necessary exemptions. Managing departmental statutory needs, ensuring the authorization of staff in terms of Plant Safety Regulations and ORHVS (where necessary).Currently also responsible for Civil Maintenance in the station where I ensure that all civil routines are executed, responsible for horticulture and plumbingActing as a SHE committee Chairperson, where monthly meetings are conducted to address safety issues in the StationAlso an appointed Chairperson on Disciplinary hearings (Industrial Relations), also do the case presentations on behalf of the company.Acted as a Plant Manager, overseeing the whole Operation and Maintenance of the Station.Also doing Outage co-ordination in my department during planned plant outages.Station appointed Accident & Incident Investigator
