I am an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa double majoring in Criminology, Law, and Justice and Ethics and Public Policy on the pre-law track. I am also pursuing a minor in Philosophy, have completed a Certificate in Human Rights, and am part of the University Honors Program. I have partaken in advocacy work as an intern for Scholars at Risk, and I work both for the University of Iowa Health Care’s Joint Office for Compliance and as an Academic Coach with the University of Iowa Student Disability Services. I have the honor of serving as the undergraduate Advisory Board representative for the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights this academic year, and I am the Director of Academics and Professionalism for Phi Alpha Delta, the Director of Public Relations for Students for Human Rights at Iowa, and the Events Coordinator for the Pre-Law Association of Women. This semester, I am also partaking in research through the Iowa Policy and Opinion Lab! I have presented research at the Iowa Human Rights Research Conference and am pursuing an honors thesis through the University of Iowa Department of Sociology and Criminology. Through my many academic and professional endeavors, I have developed and pursued my passion to promote justice and human rights through law, policy, and advocacy efforts. I hope to continue this work in my future ventures while developing further interests and skills.
