As part of my work and travel heading Danish Red Cross international Operation and Partnerships in the field, I am privileged to follow development and humanitarian progress and challenges that people are experiencing in different corners of the world. And not least, privileged to be in an organization that acts in response to those challenges. My engagement as a leader with the Red Cross allows me to pursue my personal passion and sense of meaning striving for a humanity with solidarity, respect for human rights, equality, and self-determination.In my carrier I have grown as a leader, and continue to do so, believing in setting and jointly developing clear direction, facilitating drive, creativity, and collaboration at all levels in an organization, and with external partners. I give space and encourage passion, responsibility, and open dialogue.The Red Cross, as both localized and global actor, and with 7 principles at the core, has a unique mandate and hence opportunity and obligation to act on humanitarian needs and hold parties to conflicts accountable to comply with International humanitarian Law.
