My master's thesis was made in collaboration with Aquaporin A/S and SDU. The aim of the thesis was to produce bioethanol from a hybrid separation process. At Aquaporin I got hands-on with with the operating equipment from day one, which was the ultimate way to apply and acquire new knowledge. My key learnings were- Extensive experience within R&D and knowledge of membrane separations processes.- Thorough planning with a systematic and analytical approach to the project.- Continuous processing of larger data sets to make qualitative conclusions.- Elaborate knowledge of various destillationprocesses with both a technical and economical aspect.- Scaling up results from pilot scale to industrial scale to simulation of distillation processes in Aspen Plus. The thesis was completed with great satisfaction from both Aquaporin and SDU.

My function as Special Pedagogical Support (SPS) at SDU, was to be a mentor for students with special needs and support them through their studies. The aim of the collaboration was to work on the student's needs through various solution-oriented tools, where reflection on one's own abilities, needs, experiences etc. were the basis of the collaboration.The collaboration was very rewarding for the student as well as the mentor.

As intern at Ørsted Bioenergy in the Technology department I got the task to look into the flue gas condensation plant. My main task was to look into the nitrogen mass balance of the plant. In order to do so I got experience with- TOC measurements for the construction of the mass balances based on thorough review of PI digrams.- Interaction and collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.- Data surveillance of the plant with experienced from the control room of the plant.- Thorough insight of the chemical aspects of the power plant, and knowledge of water chemistry and the processes acquired to clean flue gas.

As a warehouse and sales employee, the overall task was to focus on the customers and their needs to create the best sales experience for each individual customer. Furthermore, goods had to be handled so that there was always great availability for the customer. Preparation of goods was also a big part of that. These tasks required overview, surplus and systematic thinking, as well as coordination with employees so that the tasks could be solved while keeping the customers in focus.
