This approach allowed targeting all relevant audience groups such as festival visitors, sponsors and advertisers, film industry members and educational institutions.I was responsible for implementing and coordinating communications, promotional activities and outreach campaigns and worked collaboratively with internal event teams and external sponsors and supporters as well as Doc Edge’s Festival venues, Q Theatre, The Roxy Cinema and AUT University to deliver effective communications and cross promotions. Post-event I evaluated, analysed and reported the success of the marketing campaigns using Social Media, Mailchimp and Google Analytics and evaluated the findings of the 2016 audience survey. Over the Festival period the number of followers on social media increased by 8%, while the subscriber’s database grew by 26%. After re-designing the e-newsletter and creating a user friendly content and layout, the open and click rate increased significantly, as did the overall audience reach through Doc Edge’s digital channels.
