Braintrust Base was an interdisciplinary knowledge-sharing site for university students. As the first of its kind, it combined a social medium with a student paper database. Our mission was to give students a digital platform to re-brand and showcase their papers and theses, instead of leaving them to collect dust in the shelves of their university library. The campaign focused on the use of illegal mining products in cell phones, and was carried out through daily events evolving around a towering cellphone sculpture in the festival area.In December 2008 I was coordinator for the advocacy activities of the Christian Aid/Aprodev delegation at COP14 in Poznan, and participated in events on adaptation and mitigation, daily briefings with Danish delegates, and NGO coordination meetings.
