Born, raised and educated in Germany, I qualified as a Dietitian in Kiel, Germany.I obtained my DKL/DGE qualification whilst working in Düsseldorf as Senior Dietitian, prior to moving to London, United Kingdom, where I was engaged in catering services.Subsequently, I chose to take up residence in my husband’s native Katana, Sri Lanka, and my chief occupation turned to full-time mother of two daughters and home-maker. I utilized these years acquiring an extensive insight on South-East Asian foods and food-preparations, food beliefs and practices. The additional knowledge proved very valuable when I took up the challenge of re-entering actively into my profession.I have effectively educated, guided, counselled and motivated numerous appreciative clients and grateful patients with special diet care-plans, my dedication and compassionate approach.I also lectured and practically assisted many pre- as well as post graduate students and well-known Physicians, who were keen to learn more.
