Sigrun has been working independently as Project Manager since Febuary 2009. She has managed numerous divers projects, the latest one in the role of Campaign Manager for Þóra Arnórsdóttir in Iceland’s 2012 presidential elections.Sigrun has produced four theatre projects, The Monster my little sister (winner of the Icelandic theatre awards Griman as best Children´s play in 2012), the music and dance theatre The Journey of the Phoenix (2011), the cabaret This is life/Þetta er lífið (2010) and Blue Gold/Bláa gullið (2009). Sigrún was project manager and tour-leader in two humanitarian projects in 2009, fisrst in Gaza, Palestine and then Botswana, Africa. Other projects include organization of various conferences, including project management at the Iceland’s first National Assembly in 2009 as well as the National assembly for a New Constitution in Iceland (2010). In spring 2011 she started teaching her course; Service; theory and practice at the Open University in Reykjavík. Sigrun studied Hotel Management at Swiss Hotel Association Hotel Management School Les Roches (1994) and completed a BA in Business Economics at Anglia Ruskin University (2003) in Cambridge, England. She is also a Certified Project Management Associate from the University of Iceland (2009). Before Sigun started to work independently she worked as a Marketing- and Services Manager in Private Banking at Kaupthing bank in Luxembourg from 2004. From 2006 she worked as an Event Manager for the bank in Iceland and later as Head of Events and Travel.
