Mr. Strack currently serves as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Private Investments at Trinity Alps Capital, an asset management firm based in San Francisco. In this capacity Mr. Strack oversees investments in private funds, secondary investments and direct investments with more than $1 billion in aggregate assets under management.From 2008 through 2018, Mr. Strack held an executive leadership role at Willett Advisors, the investment firm managing Michael Bloomberg’s personal and philanthropic assets. As the head of Private Equity, Mr. Strack led the portfolio build-out for LBO, growth and venture investments. Mr. Strack built portfolio exposures through primary, secondary and co-investments. In addition to his leadership of the PE portfolio, Mr. Strack also oversaw the build-out of Willett’s liquid credit manager portfolio and led select investments in the areas of public equities, hedge funds and real assets. Mr. Strack has been an anchor investor in several new manager formations and has represented Willett Advisors on the advisory boards of 25+ investment organizations. Before his involvement with Willett, Mr. Strack was a Partner at Headlands Capital, an asset management firm focused on small-cap public company investing. Mr. Strack also founded Coliseum Capital Advisors, an investment advisory business focused on secondary private equity transactions. Prior to his investment management career, Mr. Strack spent 10 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner in the Global Private Equity Practice, providing advisory services to private equity firms and corporate investment organizations. In addition to his client service, Mr. Strack led several McKinsey-sponsored research efforts on the private equity industry and co-authored publications in the McKinsey Quarterly.Throughout his career Mr. Strack has been actively involved in the broader asset management and private equity community through contributions and speaking engagements at leading industry events. Mr. Strack currently serves on the Board of Directors of OneValley, a global entrepreneurship platform for startups and corporations seeking innovation and accelerated growth.Mr. Strack lives in the San Francisco Bay area and is an active member of his community. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Marin Academy where he also serves on the investment committee for the School's endowment. In addition, Mr. Strack is a member of the Executive Leadership Counsel of the Raphael House, an organization supporting families facing homelessness in the Bay area.
