Job Description: Maintenance on: Plant 300KW pump motors, dragline 900kW DC motors and 1045KW DC generators, AC and DC drivers, and did maintenance on transformers of up to 10MVA. Preventative maintenance: Scheduling of motors auto greaser and BTU batteries replacements, regular inspections on electrical equipment at the plant, MCC panels and VSDs monitoring, thermal emitter for hot connection in the panel terminals act. Corrective maintenance: Fault finding and replacing of damaged components in the panels, replacing of broken down pump motors. Improvement maintenance: Designed maintenance convenient motor covers to protect them from plant spillages. Wiring and troubleshooting of star/delta, forward reverse, and DOL starters. Performed isolation and lock-out: On 22Kv over-head transmission lines, 10MVA mobile sub-station, 525V MCC panels at the plant and for dragline electrical panels. Earthing of over-head power lines using earth rods, and earthing of mobile substations using mesh earthing system. Projects completed: Installation of compressor Air dryer. Installation of lighting system in artisan’s toolbox storage rooms at workshop. Installing and commissioning of conveyor belts drive end gearbox cooling fans. PLC and SCADA fault finding and maintenance. Good housekeeping.
