I co-founded the first internal infrastructure writing team at Salesforce. I managed seven writers directly and supported a number of others. My team included writers covering monitoring, compliance, hardware, cloud capacity, security, big data, infrastructure delivery, and site reliability. Our work was of vital importance in mapping out how our infrastructure was built and how internal developers could use it. Every other month I presented a panel discussion "Fireside Chat". I chose a technology or team to present to the organization. These lively exchanges offered transparency in an expanding, complex organization, and promoted collaboration and understanding of the many and varied elements that make the Salesforce service possible. The series also allowed me to learn something completely new every other month and share it with an audience that was always around 200 people.

I co-founded the Salesforce Internal Documentation team. I have played a central role in promoting the adoption of internal documentation throughout the organization and have been directly involved in creating headcount, hiring, and product ownership for the team. My work has helped to establish respect for the Internal Documentation team and has made me a sought-after collaborator for teams across the company. As a writer and presenter, I have focused on data center automation, release engineering, security, and infrastructure. My understanding of the entire technological ecosystem has informed my efforts to assess and address the needs of the organization. Apart from writing, I have presented a number of Fireside Chats, internal panel discussions on pressing technical issues, that have been wildly successful, each attended by over 200 people. I bring together top experts and surface the important concerns in a wide range of topics, after which I give the audience the opportunity to ask questions of the experts. I presented at a national conference in 2014.I identified the need for infrastructure documentation early in my tenure at Salesforce. My writing, credibility, and understanding of business priorities helped to create writing positions for infrastructure writers. I was critical to hiring and mentoring the infrastructure writers and co-authored major documents. I co-conceived and co-authored the hit internal training "Introduction to the Salesforce Infrastructure". This training was presented through a highly customized Google Site and four embedded videos. The videos brought together 10 experts from a range of disciplines who present a nuanced and comprehensive view of the Salesforce infrastructure. The course has been completed by over a thousand employees and we have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback we have received.

Responsible for documenting virtual products including Virtual Steelhead and Steelhead Mobile Controller. Surveyed and reviewed Component Content Management System (CCMS) products as well as and XMetal DITA editors. Maintained CLI guide for the entire product line.

Wrote complete first SDK documentation for adapting PC Windows games to a cloud gaming platform, in Doxygen and delivered in HTML and CHM. Also wrote documents on system security and game compliance requirements.

Created the Centrify DirectControl Programmer’s Guide, which describes object oriented development of tools for the management of Unix data in Windows Active Directory, from either the Windows or Unix platforms. Authored the corresponding extensive online help reference on DirectControl object classes.
