Since January 2021, I have been an integral part of Genius Loci, an award-winning signage and wayfinding consultancy firm that has been thriving under the leadership of Graeme Erens. The firm has collaborated with esteemed clients such as Emaar, GAJ, Woods Bagot, Aedas, Parsons, Cracknell, and many others across the UAE, Qatar, KSA, Greece, Seychelles, and beyond.In my role as a New Business Executive, I am responsible for managing all the bids that Genius Loci sends out. My key responsibilities include:- Responding to RFPs from our clients- Contacting potential clients via email and phone- Leading the team in preparing bids and proposals- Overseeing new business, action tracking, and deal tracking- Briefing the projects and design team on project scopes and facilitating client connections

Reporting to Group Internal Audit Manager• Achievements: Improved the controls of the company by recommending (1) Stock Movement Register, (2) Effective CCTV Surveillance, (3) Effective Stock Grading, (4) All Banks Reconciliation, (5) Timely Document Submission, (6) Old Stock Relocation, (7) Parking Management,after performing related audits• Was responsible for end to end delivery of the audit process• Maintained strong relationships with all departments to help facilitate: (1) the completion of assigned audit work, and (2) faster implementation of recommendations• Evaluated the efficacy of risk management procedures on an ongoing basis and recommended improvements continually• Reviewed various contracts relating to AMCs, upcoming shops in the Al Murad Mall, service agreements, freelancers, and others• Verified the accuracy of cash management and ensured that the risks are mitigated• Audited payments for salaries (regular, incentives, freelancers), suppliers, petty cash• Examined documentation, including reports, statements, records, and memos to gather information• Reconciled documentation with actual inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy

Reporting to Internal Audit Manager• Achievements: (1) Increased effectiveness of GRN clerks, (2) Reduced average sales cash and check deposit time• Planned and conducted various compliance audits for various departments (Purchase, Payables, Check remittances, Petty cash, Site visits, Workshop, Sales margins)• Enforced internal controls for various processes and revisited them with the audit team every quarter• Examined relevant third-party documents for cash expenses every month and ensured that necessary approvals were granted
