In 2020 we moved to remote work and I have successfully continued with that using online collaboration tools.This project is using predominantly Python REST micro-services running in Kubernetes, although for performance, I was tasked with converting some micro-services to C. This system is using NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch and ArangoDB. Communication to the devices is done via SNMP, NETCONF or SSH depending on the device type.During this time I initially developed the logging system with Elasticsearch and now work in the larger team on the core system. This involved the use of trusted execution environments (TEEs) and key-ladders to ensure the security keys were managed to meet the studio security requirements for 4k.Other major features during this time included, the development of support for streaming content based on the MPEG-DASH standard, along with a demo client for STB integration partners to use; and conversion of the security software to allow it to work over web-sockets rather than broadcast.
