Lae, Papua New Guinea

I led and supported the program staff in order that all projects were designed and implemented in harmony with the strategic approach and mission of ADRA PNG. This involved assisting and mentoring the project coordinators in the areas of knowledge management, budget oversight, and facilitating the Project Coordination Committee on a regular basis. The Program Director also was responsible for well designed, participatory and effective new projects, monitoring ongoing projects and ensuring that donor agencies had their outcomes met as required.

Facilitated learning for High School Students in the areas of Mathematics, Science, Marine Studies and Senior Science.Interacted with parents and other stakeholders to create individual learning plans for students.Completed work plans and other strategic documents in order to maximise efficiency.Reported on progress for around 150-200 individuals on a semi annual basis.Other responsibilities involving "Tournament of Minds" teams which were the Australasia Champions.

Mae Sot, Thailand

Eden Valley Academy is a school that provides education to Karen Refugees from conflict in Burma. I taught the subjects of Senior Chemistry, Senior Geography, Junior Science and Geography, and PDHPE. We lived in bamboo and leaf roof huts and washed in the creek. It was an amazing experience.
