My professional experiences in manufacturing engineering lie primarily in controls and process improvement. Process improvements range from plc, vision, and robot programming to tooling design improvements. Controls experience includes automation products from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, Siemens, IAI, Yamaha, and Jokab. I have spent a significant amount of time on safety and guarding, including evaluation, design and implementation. I have also designed and implemented a WinCC HMI/SCADA system used for data collection and monitoring machine performance including OEE. Experience utilizing Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA system to gather, parse and distribute data ranging from the plant floor to inventory data on corporate servers. I am capable of design, coordination and execution of full controls upgrades on small and medium size automated systems including wiring, panel design and build, PLC programming and integration. Robotic experiences include IAI and Yamaha SCARA programming, Yamaha cartesian systems, and Fanuc 6-axis robots. Program changes focused on process improvement on existing equipment. Machine Vision training includes Cognex In-Sight spread sheet and EasyBuilder as well as Cognex Vision Pro. Hands on application experience with classic machine vision systems such as the DVT 700 series all the way through the most recent Cognex PC based system.Supervised 4 electrical maintenance technicians at Federal-Mogul in Avilla to help reduce unplanned down time and increase productivity.
