-Development and presentation of natural history interpretive programs for approx. 15,000/yr.-Development of natural history displays including static and live animal displays -Organization of special events with attendance of 100 to 1000 people-Development of Kansas ECO-Meet program for high school age youth. Now consists of 9 regionals and a state final competition with scholarships awarded.-Development of outdoor facilities and exhibits to include nature trails, Butterfly House, wild flower gardens, nature playground, bird-watching area, etc.-Organization and implementation of Friends support group and volunteer program-Editor and contributing author on ON TRACKS newsletter distributed to 24,000 teachers-Contributing author of Nature’s Notebook column in Kansas Wildlife Magazine-Development of brochures, wildlife education materials, and other interpretive literature.-Responsibility for all grounds and building maintenance and repair-Responsibility for budgeting and all purchases.-Supervision of 1 full-time, 4-6 part-time employees and 5-10 volunteers-Developed and maintain an extensive wildlife rehabilitation facility within the nature center that treats 300-400 animals per year.
